Children’s Classes & Programs at The Maker Farm

When you give children the space and opportunity to explore, investigate, dream and play, that’s when imagination and creativity come to life. Children’s Classes at the Maker Farm are led by an experienced teaching staff who engage kids in art activities, recycled crafts, sewing, theater, horseback riding, cooking, farming, and much more.

Theater Troupe

Each season, children in our Theater Troupe bring plays, storytelling, music and history to life on stage. Guided by Emily Piper, children experience the excitement of pulling together a complete theater production culminating in a live performance for family and friends. From Swingin’ and Jivin’ Princesses to A Christmas in Concord, our plays are custom-tailored for all levels and abilities so each child plays a role.

Care Farming

Care farming is defined as the use of farm and agricultural landscapes to promote mental and physical health by combining the care of the land with the care of people. On a care farm, people, animals, and the earth work together for mutual healing. Join, Beth Frankel, BSW, to enjoy the many benefits of the fresh air, outdoors, gardening, and interaction with the farm animals. Each week we will participate in meaningful outdoor and farm activities to encourage confidence, independence, social interaction, and improved learning.
