I’m an Old-Fashioned Kid: Colonial Times

(Going Into) Grades: 3-6
August 21-25, 2017
9:00 am – 3:00 pm (extended hours available)
Location: The 1752 Colonial Farmhouse Studios
Makers: Emily Piper & Staff
Limit: 20

Meadowbrook Farm, home of The Maker Farm, is a true New England Colonial Farm! It awes me to think that when the hearth room was built in 1752, its owners were British colonists and The Revolution was years away. This week, kids will learn all about what it was like to live in the 1700s in New England. We will bake bread, care for the animals, garden, handsew, and read The Childhood of Famous Americans’ Abigail Adams. On Wednesday, we will venture to Sturbridge Village for further exploration of this incredible time period in American History. Bus transportation provided by Buckingham Bus Company.
