Living and Painting: “The Peaceable Kingdom” by Edward Hicks

Ages: 7+
Wednesday, Sep 16, 2015

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Makers: Emily Piper and Staff

While on a recent camp field trip to the Worcester Art Museum, our tour guide brought us to the painting, The Peaceable Kingdom, by Edward Hicks. The kids were mesmerized, and one of the kids said that it reminded her of our farm with all of the animals! In this workshop, each artist will use our very own Maker Farm animals as inspiration to recreate this work on canvas. Goats, sheep, ponies, chickens – we do not have a lion on the farm, so Wallace may have to pose most regally

Extended care available: $7/hour for one child or $10/hour for family until 6:00 pm
