Our mission is to make fuzzy, furry and fluffy new friends, to create with our hands and to discover the art of simplicity.

How we began . . .

Founder Emily Piper long ago packed up her happiest childhood memories in the rural countryside of Pennsylvania and brought them with her to her adult life. Emily’s parents were elementary educators. Her mom is an art teacher. Her dad shares a passion for history. And her love of creating with her hands and working hard came from a bevy of Polish farm wives who shared their interests and life stories with young Emily. The joys of growing up in an agricultural community led her to bring her passions to life in a farm setting. Horses, art, gardening, history and the joys of simple living all have found a very happy home at The Maker Farm. In 2019, The Maker Farm moved to its new (yet very old!), permanent location at 12 Bancroft Street in beautiful Pepperell, Massachusetts.
